Inter Act Art

On Thursday we went to the Inter Act Art festival.

My October holiday story.

During the October holiday, I went to MacDonalds for lunch.  On Friday I bought a small garbage truck.  On Saturday I went with my grandma to CountDown. We bought some milk, bread and some fruit.  It was a fun holiday.

This holiday story was dictated by Aidan to staff while making use of his communication device.  

Celebrating My birthday!!!!

 I celebrated my 16th birthday with my friends and the teachers. My mom bought me a yummy cake. All of them sang "Happy Birthday" song while I was cutting the cake.

staying home

I had a sore tummy last week and I stayed at home.  I remembered to brush my teeth at home and Val is happy about that. Everybody was glad to see me this morning and I am happy to be back.  I listened to music this morning at school and liked that. Later on I worked hard by colouring in by number.

Tuesday 8th August 2017

On Monday we did P.E with seniors they training to present . we all went to the Gymnasium .

We were in two groups. Some of the activities we did Basketball, Simon says and Soccer.

My favourite game was Basketball. It was fun and it’s made me happy.

Making a quick lunch at school

On Friday we did cooking. We learnt to make toasts as a quick lunch. First I put 2 toasts into a toaster, then put down the button, when the toasts pop up, I needed to put butter on them. Now the toasts are ready to eat. Yummy!

Putting  butter on the toasts was my favourite part. It needed to spread the butter evenly on the toasts or they won't be tasted good. Next time, I hope to learn to make cupcakes. I like bakery as well. I am sure I will be able to bake nice cupcakes.

My healthy Food Wrapper

• Showed Aidan a Muesli bar wrapper as an example of the task.
• Displayed on his Chromebook pictures of fruit and wheat products.
• Aidan selected apples, bananas and Weetbix. The pictures were printed, cut out and glued onto a wrapper template.
• Aidan pointed to the picture of the Weetbix when asked about a name for his healthy bar - Weety Bar decided upon.
• The final healthy food bar wrapper was done on the Chromebook.

Making toast

Here I am making toast.

I learnt how to put the toast in the toaster.

It took a few minutes to cook.

I put strawberry jam on my toast.

It was warm, crunchy and good.

Next time I would like to toast a

crumpet.

Making a Hot Drink

Here I making myself a hot cup of Milo.

Mina helped me with boiling the jug.

I put in Milo sugar milk  and hot water then mixed it all together.

It was warm and sweet. YUM.

Next time I would like to make coffee.

Cafe Visit

Aidan used his talking device to pay his money to the cashier at the Sommerville cafe.

Using New Zealand Money.

We have been learning to recognise New Zealand money and using it to purchase items at the shop. We compared the prices that we guessed and the actual cost.

Harbour trip

           Our Harbour trip and the Maritime Museum.

On Tuesday 9th of May 2017 I went on a boat trip. Went in the school van. I felt happy.

I liked  the canoe in the Maritime Museum.

My favorite part of the day was seeing the canoe.

The weather was hot and sunny.

I saw a helicopter fly over us. I was very tired when I got home but I had a

GREAT DAY!!!

My holidays

On the first Monday of the holidays Dad and I went Whitcoulls to buy some magazines. I got Earth movers and Ford Street Rods.

On Friday I went to the movies with Mum and Dad. We watched the “Fate of the Furious”.

My cousin came up from Wellington to visit us. They will be going home on Friday.

My Aunty Jackie moved house over the weekend, they used a big truck.

Last Monday I went to the park with Grandma.

On the last Friday, we went to McDonald’s for lunch. I had an ice cream.  YUM.

I had a GREAT holiday.
